What is the minimum number of books you accept?

We accept donations as low as 30 books and as high as ... well ... tens-of-thousands!

Do you accept donations from businesses or large clear-outs?

Yes we do. Please reach out through the "Contact Us" form (link at top of page) for anything larger than a full-sized van load.

How soon can you pick up?

We offer same-day service within a 2-hour window. Most pickups are scheduled a day or two in advance.

What happens to the books after pickup?

We sort your donated books at our facility and route them to the new home most likely to get them read again — local charities, schools, or resale channels that keep them in circulation.

Can I get a receipt for tax purposes?

We are not a registered 501c, so unfortunately your donation is not a write-off for tax purposes.

Do you pick up on weekends/evenings?

Yes we do. We have times available in the afternoons and early evenings Sunday-Thursday and all day on Friday-Saturday.

How it Works

1. Select Your Books

Not sure what to donate? A few questions that will help lead the way: 1) Have you picked it up in the last two years? Could the space it's taking up on a shelf be used in a way to bring you more joy? Is this a book you'd be excited to see someone else discover? We welcome all books in good condition.

We believe every book deserves a second life. Our mission is to bridge the gap between books that people want to donate or discard, and new readers ready to explore those pages.

Once we receive your books, we sort everything at our facility and route books to the best possible new home.

We service the entire Las Vegas Valley from Summerlin to Henderson to North Las Vegas.

2. Schedule Your Pickup

We provide convenient FREE pickup services across Las Vegas on a variety of dates and times. Just fill out our quick online scheduling form. We do offer same-day pickup, but most donations are scheduled 1 or 2 days in advance. Once you schedule your time you will receive a confirmation email. We will pickup any book quantities from 30 - 30,000 books! No obligation. Cancel or reschedule anytime.

3. Box and Set Them Out

Please box up your books and leave them on your front doorstep before the scheduled time with "Las Vegas Book Rescue" noted on the box. It's important they remain out of the sun (or rare rain). We will be there either at the scheduled time or within 2 hours after. For larger donations (several thousand books) feel free to use the "Contact Us" form for greater assistance if needed.

We provide free book donation pickup throughout Las Vegas, including Summerlin, Mountains Edge, Spring Valley, Henderson, Green Valley, North Las Vegas, Centennial Hills, Southwest Las Vegas, and the greater Las Vegas Valley. If you’re outside these areas, contact us — we often accommodate nearby locations.

What Books Can You Donate?

We welcome all books in good, gently used, or brand new condition. If it's got binding and paper, odds are we'll be able to pick it up and find it a fresh home for a new reader to enjoy!

Note: We do not accept heavily damaged/water-damaged books, books exhibiting mold, or magazines unless part of a larger donation — call or note it when scheduling.
